I’ve previously shared over the course of 3 weeks, simple ways to add Fall flair to your home while patiently awaiting the cooler days. For so many of us the temps are still very Summer-like which makes decorating for Fall incredibly difficult. If you still aren’t quite ready to go into Fall decorating mode check out my tips for easing into it gradually here. If you missed my Fall Home (Part 1) you can catch it here.
One of the great things about Summer, as I mentioned before, is the refreshing cocktails. They are my favorite to concoct and I have several that I’m known for amongst friends. While concoctions meant for long hot days by the pool are my favorite, I have a few Fall ones that are just as yummy and during my Dessert and Cocktail party last week, my Orange Spiced Moscow Mule was a hit.
What better way to ease into the Apple Ciders, Pumpkin beers and Ocotoberfest style beers, than a typical Summer beverage with a Fall twist? So without further ado, welcome to your newest early Fall cocktail go-to.
They typical Moscow Mule consists of Vodka, Ginger Beer and fresh lime juice. Here’s my take on that deliciousness with a twist.
This Orange Spiced Ginger Beer was the inspiration for this drink. I found it at Fresh Market but have seen it in several grocers. *If you are unable to find this in your area, no worries! I made one using regular ginger beer (alcoholic version) and altered the amount of fresh orange juice. It is just as tasty, with a little less orange kick.*
All ingredients needed for this drink.
Orange Spiced Moscow Mules
1 ½ oz Vodka
½ oz Cointreua
½ oz fresh orange juice
5 oz Crabbie’s Orange Spiced Ginger Beer
Add all ingredients in Moscow Mule Mug, stir gently and top with lots of ice. Garnish with orange slice and enjoy!
Just in time for the weekend and a perfect fireside, ring in the Fall Season cocktail! Please let me know here, in the comment section, if you make this. I’d love to hear what you think!
Until next time,
